I'm Tom Ryan, also known as A5omic. Software Engineer at Intel, previously Founding Engineer at Integral (#1 on Product Hunt for a day). I ship technical work across security, software, music, and research.

Security

A Linux kernel patch merged upstream by Jens Axboe: an io_uring SQE_MIXED OOB read, c76e0f1d77f8, backported to 6.19-stable by Sasha Levin. A V8 Maglev JIT fix by the Google V8 team in commit 2d111040, on the Chrome VRP reward panel. Approval to Anthropic's Cyber Verification Program in 2026. Five Apple security submissions across WebKit (3 WGSL, 1 JSC) and XNU (a NECP UAF). Two Keycloak ROPC brute-force bugs to the U.S. DoD via the HackerOne VDP. Full ledger on the security page.

Apps and software

Thirteen iOS apps shipped under Rekishi LLC: Rekishi (anime/manga tracker), Overboard (community browser), LocalAI, LockDown, CozyTime, SkyScope, Linky, SportBuddy AI, Crunch, Weeb Widgets, Blip, LifeCommits, RideBoost, with Overboard and RideBoost also live on Google Play. Live web work includes Veil API (PII redaction middleware for LLMs), ClipThis, the HypeX and ServerSage Discord bots, and an in-progress autonomous fuzzing platform, Burrow. Five npm packages published: @a5omic/flowdown, @a5omic/flowdown-react, @a5omic/streamjson, @a5omic/veil, claude-casualties.

Music

A5omic is my AI-native music project. Some tracks are AI-generated, some are AI-assisted slowed + reverb edits, some are originals I've produced. Around 250,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, also on Apple Music, YouTube, and Amazon Music. Early access and unreleased tracks on Patreon; community on Discord.
